(back) Subject: 400, 60,000 and Xperts From: "Craig Issod" <[email protected]> Date: Sat, 2 Oct 1999 19:33:05 -0500 Hearthlist turns 400 The hearthlist (this list) has just passed 400 subscribers! A long way = from that fateful day that Tim Nissen and I first communicated over the internet. Hundreds more read the list, as it is often forwarded to others by email and passed around by fax and copying. HearthNet blows by 60,000 Visitors per Month HearthNet is now seeing approx 2,000 visitors per day, a figure which we did not reach until early November last year. We anticipate a peak load of over 100,000 visitors per month, reading well over 600,000 total pages. These figures reflect the growth of the net and the increased popularity = of HearthNet. We are especially pleased to be growing in spite of the fact that there = are now HUNDREDS of fireplace and stove sites on the internet. Basic logic would say that we should be losing visitors since they now have so many other places to go. However, by continuing to gain editors choice awards (see below) and links from many other prominent sites, we continue to experience growth. We will continue to add new features like the Trading Post, our classifieds section which has already displayed tens of = thousands of ad-views. Xpertsites gives HearthNet the big X Xpertsites, an up and coming new net guide to experts, has recently given HearthNet a "Featured Xpert Award". Here's what they said: Congratulations, your site is rated in the top 500 of the 13,000+ sites we've reviewed. While others only have info and FAQs, you add the = expertise and personal response to individual questions. Their link to HearthNet reads: Ask a question of Craig Issod and join the legions of others who've contributed to his Q and A file that has more than 1200 questions and answers already listed! Mr. Issod has 20 Years of experience with stoves and fireplaces of all sorts. ------------------------------------------------------ Craig Issod HearthNet at http://www.hearth.com [email protected] Everything your Hearth Desires ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------
