As the back gets older I continue to look forward to virtual fires...  I
have always thought a good hologram and a piece of metal would have been  a
better way to set up a showroom display.......... When it came time to
moving around a series of  500lb wood stoves in the showroom...  the good
old hologram would have been my choice to  give our customers  the view of
what their stove would look like and the piece of metal would add the
touchie feelie part of the sale.... But we couldn't afford the technology .....
 
 Ah ........ soon we will have flat screen digital TV ...... and with a good
computer generated fire and a fine crafted oak surround and a little
marble... our new TV / Computer system will serve the need of our customers
to see fire.... The Virtual Fireplace..... and as far as service calls?????
...... give  them the Gates treatment.... let them talk to voice mail or wait
for the upgrade to Fire 98........

Starterlogg has created a great screensaver.... add a little crackel  and
turn down the lights.....  this little piece is a real burner......
