(back) Subject: Internet Stuff From: Craig Issod <[email protected]> Date: Tue, 14 Oct 1997 21:51:47 -0500   Hey, everyone. HPA has asked me to do two seminars at the upcoming show. The fist one may be of interest to some members of this group, so I figured I'd mention it early in case any of your travel plans are being made soon.   This seminar is a two hour presentation on "Creating Your Own Web Pages" that may be of interest to current and prospective webmasters. It is being held the Wednesday before the show.   The seminar will demonstrate many of the tools and techniques used to create and maintain a web presence. Instead of being tightly "scripted", the talk will be focused on YOUR needs and wants...I'll bring all the tools, and we can experiment with them together.   Tex, Graphics, Video, Audio and Database tricks will be demonstrated and taught. In addition, a handout guide, with valuable tips about web page design and construction, will be handed out.   Please inform the webmaster (or wanna-be) in your company about this seminar.   The second seminar will be similar to the ones I've given in previous years, geared more to the beginner...it will be one hour, and held on thursday. Most on this list already know a lot of the material to be presented at this one, but if you or a colleague need to bone up on your basics...well, stop by.   Lots of other computer stuff happening at the show..stay tuned to the HPA site, and announcements on this list.   Traffic Tracks with the Weather - HearthNet traffic has hit a new high of 1000 visitors per day...each reading about 7 pages. However, warm weather has resulted in a leveling off at this level..for the past two weeks. It's really interesting to watch - just one cold snap gets things going big time. We're expecting to see some cold weather soon - At least we ALL hope so.   ------------------------------------------------------ Craig Issod HearthNet at http://www.hearth.com [email protected] Everything your Hearth Desires ------------------------------------------------------ Buddha says "avoid error" ------------------------------------------------------
