West Lebanon, New Hampshire. August 27, 1999.  Energex Pellet Fuel, Inc
announced its wholly owned subsidiary, Energex American Pellets, has signed =
a
definitive agreement to purchase all the assets of American Hardwood Pellets=
 of
Kanawha Head, West Virginia.  Energex will immediately resume American
Hardwood's operations.  "We will be restarting the plant in September and
customers will not miss any product for the up coming heating season." said
Bruce R. Lisle, President of Energex.  "We are very excited about adding thi=
s
pure hardwood pellet to our line up of products.  American Hardwood Pellets =
has
a reputation of producing a quality pellet."  he further stated.
 
After the 1999-2000 heating season, Energex plans to move American's plant f=
rom
Kanawha Head to Belington, West Virginia and double its capacity at the new
location.  The acquisition is scheduled to close in September and is subject=
 to
court approval.
 
Energex Pellet Fuel operates the largest wood pellet fuel plant in North
Americalocated in Lac-M=E9gantic, Qu=E9bec. This facility, which has been in
operation for seventeen years, provides next day delivery of wood pellet fue=
l
throughout the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada.
