(back) Subject: Workshop on Fuel Gas Code From: Vincent J Brown <[email protected]> Date: Wed, 16 Jul 1997 14:57:39 -0400 (EDT)   Announcement for those interested in local building codes and gas equipment installations: To better inform gas utilities, appliance/equipment manufacturers, and others about recent changes to the National Fuel Gas Code (NFGC), the American Gas Association and Gas Research Institute are sponsoring a workshop September 25-26, 1997, at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland. The National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54, ANSI Z223.21) is widely used by building officials to judge the acceptability and safety of fuel-gas installations. The code is also referenced by appliance manufacturers in their certified installation instructions. The workshop will provide a general overview of the code, and both basic and advanced presentations on piping, equipment installation, combustion air, and venting. The schedule allows ample time for open discussion and exchange of information on participants' experiences with the National Fuel Gas Code in local applications. Cost to attend the day-and-a-half workshop is $325. For more information, contact Vince Brown, Workshop Coordinator, phone 614/424-5399, fax 614/424-3534, e-mail [email protected].
