(back) Subject: Profile of Hearth Dealers in Baltimore From: "Sue Kalish" <[email protected]> Date: Wed, 31 May 2000 22:40:56 -0400   According to those completing the post-Baltimore Attendee Survey (27.4 % of those who attended), dealers attending Baltimore were 53% owners and 31% sales people; 54% of the owners have been in business more than 10 years; the two top answers for consecutive years attended were 5 or more (44%) or 1 (33%); 72% did NOT attend any education, mostly because they were too busy; yet, 97% would recommend that others attend education at EXPO. These are the facts that the HEARTH Board have as it begins to prepare the education platform for EXPO 2001. What would you do if you were on the Board and needed to develop a plan for EXPO 2001? Do you have any suggestions or ideas for topics or formats? The Board is ready to cut way back on education due to the added show day and size of the show, yet our biggest audience is at the show. As Yul Brynner would say in The King and I, "tis a puzzlement." Any input you have is welcome! Please contact Sue Kalish via e-mail, [email protected], phone 703-524-8030 or fax 703-522-0548.
