However, word on the street is that the stove selling season has finally wound down and many might be getting a well-deserved rest.   How about some comments about the show, new products, industry direction, etc.?   Where is Kg-one and his yearly show report?   In the absence of other posts, I'll share this short technology suggestion with the list:   Connecting Multiple Users to the internet..   Since Martha and I work from home, we need almost full-time access to the internet. Our house contain 4 computers (Apple Macs - think different!) which are all networked together and can all access the internet though one internet account...and one phone line.   We use a great little device called the 3com LanModem. This is a 56K modem (also available in ISDN) that is also a Network hub. Simply plug your computers into it connect a phone line and set it up - takes about 5 minutes. It then acts as an "internet router" allowing any computer on the network (up to 10 computers) to access the net through one account.   We find the speed to be fine - even when two or three of us are on at one time. Sure beats getting additional phone lines and internet accounts. You will want to get an extra email account or two - your ISP will often provide these for little or no cost. Works great with Windows, Mac or UNIX computers. Cost - Less than $300.00 - a bargain compared to multiple phone lines, multiple internet accounts and other options.   http://www.3com.com/products/dsheets/400397.html   for more information on this useful product.
