Since last October, HearthNet has been collecting consumer ratings of 
woodstoves and fireplaces from the visitors to our web site 
(http://www.hearth.com).
 
Having gathered over 300 reviews, we felt it was time to sort them 
and present them to the general public. Our first stab at this new 
"consumers guide" is now online at 
http://chi.hearth.com/ratings/search.html
 
Manufacturers and retailers are encouraged to link their web sites to 
the stove rating form at http://hearth.com/ratings.html
 
This effort represents the first ever attempt at creating an unbiased 
public database of real world experiences with hearth products. We 
hope many of you will join in the effort by linking to this area.
