Speaking as a manufacturer we were very excited about the strong interest = in wood burning and pellet burning products. The timing seemed to be perfect = for an east coast show. Several dealers said the were having an extended = season and they planned on gearing up for a very strong fall. The outdoor burn booth was very difficult to set up and staff because of = it's location. I hope we never have to experience that again. Thanks again to all those that stopped by. Sincerely, Larry McBee

We are setting up new dealers all over the = USA. We also had fun with our both, most of the show attendees were remembering the California Firepit through our little Italy research fund. The fist day of the show we basically were begging for money, as a joke to get people to our booth we would ask them if their pockets jinggled and = then ask them to put the change towards our Little Italy fund. After they put = the money in our been pot on our Firepit, they would ask what is the little = Italy fund, and we would explain that there was a place in town called little = Italy and after the show we were heading over there to research the wine. Most people just laughed that we had suckered them in and no one would take = back their money. Then they were in our booth and we talked to them about our product. We only begged the first day but through the rest of the show = the people would walk by and ask what we were collecting for this time. Some people even walked by and just put money in our bean pot. Then when we = were in the airport peolpe were asking how the wine was and how our little = Italy fund went. I really learned that the battle at the show is getting the people to remember you and your product, since there are so many products out there = it can turn into one big blurr something has to catch there attention and set you apart from everyone else. A couple of low points were that the security was bad, booths were being broken into and things taken from the booths and that the people working = for Freeman's had no respect for the products the were moving. I saw then ram into a crate to push it out of their way and it knocked over another booth that had been set up, and they dropped crates that stated fragile. I will never return to Baltimore, but I look forward to Salt Lake City. Light a Fire, Tammy Pittman Marketing Manager The California Firepit

Mike Haefner [email protected] The gossip I hear is never go back to Baltimore. People are getting shot. (Who was it anyway? Many dealers were disappointed in the turnout and the lack of = anything unique. Looked like one manufacturer made the units and everyone = put there label on it. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [SMTP:[email protected]m] Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2000 3:35 PM To: Hearth Email List Subject: Hearthlist Digest #430 - 03/23/00 Hearthlist Digest #430 - Thursday, March 23, 2000 OK, where's the show gossip? by "Craig Issod" <[email protected]>
