(back) Subject: Computer Sessions at Expo From: Craig Issod <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 22 Feb 1999 15:25:56 -0500   I'll be doing two computer sessions at Expo. Both will be introductory topics, so if you're are already very "wired", you might be better off sending your friends and cohorts that have yet to find their way around all the possible applications of computers and the net.   1.Marketing Via Internet means increasing your business Wed: 4- 5PM   This will be similar to other internet seminars I've given for HPA and other groups. It is designed for those who are relatively new to the internet, and will show the basics of how the internet works as well as the possibilities and costs for promoting a product or a store on the internet. Lord willing, we'll hook up to the net and show some examples of Hearth we sites, search engines, internet marketing and more. Since this is the end of the education day, I can hand around afterwards for continuing Q and A.   2. Computers 201 - Everyday Applications to help your business Sat: 2:30 to 4PM 1 1/2 hours   This is classified as an introductory session. More advanced computer training leaves out a lot of the potential Expo audience. In addition, since many new folks are joining HPA and the industry, intro training is especially useful.   This session will go through the basic uses of a computer in the workplace. We will discuss the basic hardware, networking and the applications such as Spreadsheets, graphics, word processing, database, etc.   We will also discuss POS and business management program, the internet, and the materials which are included on the HPA's new membership CD.   I will try to leave a long Q and A time for your comments and individual questions.   For those that can't make it, the handouts for both seminars will be available on the internet after the trade show.   --- I invite any other list members who may be speaking to give an introduction to the list. This will allow some attendees to plan their educational sessions.
