(back) Subject: Sv: Ethics in the Hearth Business From: "toftegaards ovne" <[email protected]> Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2000 11:34:26 -0500 >From Nicholas Taylor [email protected] I read the Emails that are posted to my site almost daily, I sometimes think we are the only Europeans receiving the Hearthlist Digest, and am amazed how different are the attitudes to business, there seems to be a lot of business takeovers and amalgamations, sales expectations, and failures, very little on product development, burning efficiency=B4s and customer satisfaction, we run a small firm, customer satisfaction is our main aim, we achieve this by selling them good products, most people seem to be unable to tell the difference between a poor stove and an excellent stove, we know we are making a better business, and a better service to our community by selling the best stoves, the only possible reason for not doing so is to make some quick money and lose our reputation and sense of self worth, tell me , am I some kind of dinasaur , is there nobody out there making business ethically, I hope I am wrong...

I think your idea is great. We should using this media as an opportunity to influence manufacturers and educate factory reps as to our needs.... but as with many great ideas the desire to not create controversy, criticize or speak out of turn tends to urge silence. After all we are all so busy minding our business that we sometimes forget this is our business. So I will collect a few notes and will present some zingers after the Baltimore show ..... but right now I am just too too busy to speak out };>) Ken Fulgione ____________________________________ Visit the Leisure Home Center FIRE - LIGHT & CASUAL COMFORT http://www.leisurehome.com 1-715-835-2112 1-888-295-FIRE VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV Many Dragons work best to "Forge a Stronger Fire" United Buyers Group Together
