(back) Subject: Re: Pellet Stove Sources From: "Rod Poplarchick" <[email protected]> (by way of Craig Issod) Date: Sun, 17 Jan 1999 20:04:17 -0500 (EST) Craig I have parts listed for Pellet Master http://www.surfus.com/ccs/pellet/2000.html and I am planning to do a service page for Pellet Master and other dinosaur stoves and Heat N Glow; we all know they don't help out there consumers . I just have not had enough time to do it. I would be willing to do a page with some help from our Comrades, like were to get parts and know how. I already answer about 10 emails or calls a week for Pellet master questions ( maybe I should get a 1- 900- fix-fire, phone line) Speaking of web pages the California Great stove change out has started this week and I have the web going! http://www.woodstove-changeout.org The page is getting 2400 pages pulled off of it a day thanks to PG&E putting an insert about the change out into their billings to their customers. The NCNHPA also has a members site also that is waiting for suggestion for out members to grow into something useful. if you are a CAPA or a NCNHPA member and would like to participate in the stove change out contact Rex Morgan [email protected] or 1-888-8stoves and sign up NOW. (back) Subject: Re: Pellet Pages From: Jay Thelin <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 18 Jan 1999 17:41:57 -0500 (EST) Dear Craig, Thelin Co. has a nice service manual for our pellet stoves that goes back to 1987 with changes etc. We also encourage owners to call us on our 800# if they need help. A web site for repairs is a good idea but there are so many differenct stoves that it might be gigantic. Let me know if you want info on our particular units. Keep up the good work, Jay Thelin
(back) Subject: Pellet Pages From: Craig Issod <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 18 Jan 1999 17:48:08 -0500 (EST) RE: Pellet Stove Pages I appreciate the responses I've received off and on the net. I agree with Jay in that there are too many models and types to have a complete site. My thought would be a starting point that would describe the basic types of Pellet Stoves (top and bottom feed), the basic controls and maintainance procedures and also provide links to places where parts and/or advice might be found. Travis has generously offerred use of some of their diagrams and information. This may be a good starting point. Another member has mentioned expertise in one out-of-business Pellet stove. I'll start collecting the resources and see if a starting point can be developed. Please email me with wierd Pellet Stove trivia...like "Parts for the ABC Pellet Stoves (out of business) can be gotten at XYZ... or, more importantly let me know of any service and parts places that know a lot of this stuff and would not mind email and phone referrals (they'd get to sell the parts).
