Pellet Stoves have seen tremendous growth in the past 2 years due to higher fuel prices and Y2K worries. However, one possible downside of some Pellet Stoves is that they need electricity to operate. This renders them useless in power failures unless you have a battery back up or power generator. This new Pellet Stove from the Thelin Company actually generates its own electricity! Solid state power modules inside the unit use the difference between the incoming air and the heat of the fire to do this.
