Extending Surround Panels to cover Extra-Large Fireplace Openings

Sweepy Sometimes, a fireplace opening can be too large to cover with even the XL surround panels available
for a given insert model. Here's one solution we've come up with for Pacific Energy Vista and Super inserts.

 

Step 1: Purchase the Vista or Super insert with standard panels

Step 2: Purchase the flat XL panels for the Summit insert

Step 3: Paint over the logo with metallic black stove paint

Step 4: Slide the XL panels in place behind the standard panels
