and "hearthside manner" have earned him his title. Persuaded by
four-way bypass surgery to retire from his previous career in the high-stress
field of restaurant management, The Flue Doctor chose chimney cleaning as a
low-stress alternative that provides a healthy amount of exercise and the opportunity to meet people. Richard has
been with us over eight years now, and is our most asked-for Sweep. In the Summer months when Sweeping slows down, Richard works as First Mate for a cruise ship line, which
affords him many opportunities for whale watching and various celebrity-filled adventures, many of which
undoubtedly never happened.
