OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED FROM VENTILATED CRAWLSPACEInstall a length of 4" rigid or flexible aluminum intake pipe down through a 4-1/8" hole in the floor anywhere under the pedestal, extending below the floor joists and insulation. The intake pipe doesn't attach directly to the stove: snip and flare the pipe at the top to hold it in place. Use silicone cement to glue a piece of 1/4" wire rodent mesh at the bottom. | OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED THROUGH BACKWALLRemove the air intake cover from the back of the pedestal and insert a length of 4" rigid or flexible aluminum intake pipe extending through 4-1/8" hole in outside wall behind the stove. Attach a standard 4" dryer vent termination on the outside of the wall, removing the flapper plate and substituting a piece of 1/4" rodent mesh silicone-cemented in place. |
OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED FROM VENTILATED CRAWLSPACEInsert a length of 4" rigid or flexible aluminum intake pipe into the knockout hole in the bottom of the air plenum and extend it down through a 4-1/8" hole in the floor, terminating below the floor joists and insulation. Caulk around the intake pipe where it penetrates the floor and use silicone cement to glue a piece of 1/4" wire rodent mesh to the bottom. | OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED THROUGH BACKWALLInsert a length of 4" rigid or flexible aluminum into the knockout hole in the rear of the air plenum and run back through a 4-1/8" hole in the outside wall behind the stove. Attach a standard 4" dryer vent termination on the outside of the wall, removing the flapper plate and substituting a piece of 1/4" rodent mesh silicone-cemented in place. |
