Hello. We bought a house that has a propane stove sitting right in front of the former wood burning fireplace opening. I do not like how out of place the stove looks in front of the opening. It just seems so out of place but does put out a nice amount of heat. I would like to remove the stove and convert the former woods burner into a propane/gas fireplace. I have included pics herein. Thoughts? Please ignore the dust bunnies and dog bones.==c

You want a gas insert, not a gas fireplace. It is doable & depending on the model you choose, your existing vent system might be reusable.

Thanks. The Propane stoved that is there now is ventless. What kind of professional would I contact to remove the propane stove and install the new insert? I'm a total newb.
