Is it better to keep the draft wide open until the catalyst is up to temp or start to turn draft down as the flue temp goes up?

On a hybrid stove, it's ok to start turning down the air as the flue warms up. This will encourage secondary combustion which will warm up the stove quicker. The best guage for determining when the cat is hot enough to engage the bypass is the catalyst thermometer.

Can you move to Regency forum? I didn't see I was in wrong channel.
