Question:

Is there any publications that are available that would have this type of information on stoves-types and installation?

Answer:

Some older books that were very good (if you can find them)Woodburners Encylopedia and Solid Fuel Safety by Jay Shelton. Garden Way Publishing owns the current rights, but is not publishing these books any longer. I found some recently at an online shop (2004) and have a few extra to sell.
