Hi guys. Just removed my old electric fire so I can soon render and install my woodburner. When I took my old surround out I stumble on these( see picture) two bits of brick leading to chimmey. Obviously they are just below the lintel but I'd like to hide them any ideas? Also the photo is upside down!

Will the new wood burning appliance not hide them? What are you putting in place? Liner?

Well first of I'm in the UK and I'm putting in a aarrow ecoburn plus 4. There will be a liner, vitreous pipe, closure plate and a cover plate. So I don't know how this will hide them...

Thanks for turning picture.

I guess I am asking - when you put the ecoburn in place, will you still be able to see those corner bricks?

I feel that they will still be on show. Stove should be turning up next week, so time will tell. Knowone else have come across these kind of bricks then?
