I have a Harman P-61 that use to heat the entire house.
I would like to duct the output and run it up to the second floor but think the air temp is too high, 195 F.

I would like to lower the temp by increasing airspeed.
To do this I am looking for a blower with higher volume than the stock blower.
I will then fashion an adapter plate to mate the new blower to the stove.

DOES THIS SOUND DOABLE?

HAS ANYONE ELSE DONE THIS?

Heres why it may not have been done. The ESP controls the stoves feed by sensing exhaust temp. Now blow more air thru the exchanger and you lower the exhaust temp and well you see the problem I think. Your going to have to add a blower to the hood and maybe just have an adjustable outside the stove duct intake to lower your temp?

I think the stove would just ramp to max feed rate, to keep the exhaust temperature correct.

You could just sell the P61 and buy a pellet furnace.

The economy of the stove at over 7 pounds of pellets and hour probably wont make cents. I know there is several pellet/corn furnaces for cheap and probably would be more suited to do as you wished and probably cheaper and safer than trying to adapt a space heater.

Adding ductwork to a appliance that is not designed for it will not meet code and your insurance company will have a heart attack.

Duct vent booster in the actual duct. Only about 25$ on Amazon. Don't mess with the stove. You can/should include an opening on the suck side of the booster to dilute the stove air.
