THey have there early buy sale comes to 25 bucks off a ton ends july 27
If you can get the sale price of $225, that would be about the max I'd pay..
At $250, I'd add a few bucks and get a brand name.. But that's just me..

I agree and around here that would be the Energex Premium all Hardwood. Those and Tractor Supply all hardwood burn about the same but with Energex you know what you will get consistently. I've seen Tractor Supply get in substitutes ,though it was later in the season. Tractor Supply should be changing vendors too if rumor carries through. It used to be the red letter Tractor Supply bagged pellets were the all premium hardwood ones, don't know now. I know I keep harping on hardwood but so happens my p61 likes those pellets, it burned them great made lots of heat. BUt now I have to test it out.

yeah, they actually called me and left a voicemail about it. still its nice but not as cheap as I can get pellets through work

Can ESW Northern Virginia Division get the same deal? Eight years of getting accused of pimping the stoves, what the hell. I am opening a division office. >>

the freight would eat you up though. I get pellets at what it costs us to buy them wholesale and ship them to the south plant (about 175/ton) which is better than TSC but not terribly so. were I not getting mine through the plant I would be buying from our local TSC , cheaper than out lowes store and they store them indoors which is a big deal to me. PLUS literally every time ive been in that store ive been treated very well, nice group of folks working our local TSC, which makes me more likely to make that store my first stop when I need something

you know how I am about customer service;) im the same way when im the customer.

Ah OK. Pacific Energy stoves rock.

Gotta go make a new tee shirt.

My local TSC seems to post prices some days $4.19 a bag, for 1 day and now it's back at $4.99, thursday was the last time I saw $4.19 a bag or $209 a ton, I printed it but dont know where it will get me, I work during the week and dont have time to go there then.

$224.99 I believe is the early buy price around hewre if I remember correctly. Good till the 27th of this month. That's by the ton, I don't know single bag purchase pricing. Also the early buy is for the Tractor House branded pellets, which should be equivalent to Maine Wood Products all hardwood pellets. You may be seeing another brand on your shelves.

The TSC pellets from Maine Woods are actually a blend--they don't make a 100% hardwood pellet. I was able to bring my Lowe's 10% off coupon to my local TSC, and they price matched me at $215 out the door. Now to figure out where to park the cars this winter since I've filled the garage with pellets!!

Stopped by a TSC on Saturday and preseason buy was $220/ton in Cambridge, MN. Had just shoved a ton of Lumberjack Premium blend in the van for $210 and bought another one for latter pickup on prebuy as prices will rise. Will keep the Elena happy I hope and will see if I can blend 60% corn without having to change to corn tray and stirrer in the Harman PC45.

I put money down Monday at TSC on 4 tons at $199/ton. They stock some Pro Pellets at my local store but mostly sell Indecks and TSC brand, which are also Indecks according to the SKU on the bags. I hope to avoid taking home any Indecks..

Bioburner, I'll be interested in learning how Lumberjacks burn for you this fall. Last season their performance left something to be desired IMO. They didn't seem to generate a lot of heat, and the bags were poorly sealed.

The bags we handled to shorten the stack were very robust and smelled good, strong pine. The dealer boosted the price today to $225 a ton. I still have about a third ton of Indek that I feed the Hestia with corn. Don't want to use them in the house as they seem to make as much ash as corn without the higher heat.

I was happy with Lumberjacks the year before last, but I felt like they let me down last season. My local Farm & Fleet carries them, and I'd give them another try if I thought it was worth the investment. So keep us posted, OK?

Well hopefully won't have to try to burn anything for a couple months but looks like if the weather continues will be burning even earlier than last year and that was early October:( Still have to clean and install new exhaust fan gasket in the garage Hestia stove and maybe renovate the Bixby's exhaust system and should be almost ready for another long winter. We have only one day that has been over 90 here.
