I know you guys love pictures ;)

Trust me when I tell you that no picture really does this stove justice. You really have to see one in person to appreciate it. There is one broken firebrick which I will let them know. 20140902_173106.jpg20140902_172903.jpg20140902_181441.jpg20140902_181503.jpg20140902_181425.jpg

Love the cabin scene! Have mine uncrated, almost in place.

I like that soapstone liner a lot. Looks nice, and should go a long way toward dispelling the rumors that extreme high temps damage soapstone. Seems like Woodstock should know as well as anyone what sort of heating load the material can take, and it's exciting to see someone utilizing it but not babying it. It's rock. Let's see someone with a soapstone stove get the exterior of it as hot as the liner of an IS when the cat and secondaries are ripping.

Serious truck there, from Intercourse, PA? ;lol

I don't know that anyone thinks high temps will damage soapstone. The heritage firebox and exterior are two sides of the same 1 1/4 inch stone. As I understand it, overfiring this stove is not so much a problem for the stone, but the cast iron frame under the stovetop.

I knew there would be at least one comment :) I work in intercourse but don't live there.

I'm glad I had something to lift that 700 lb crate other than my back.

I have been reading several threads by Beta testers on other forums and here at Hearth, and the Ideal Steel sounds like an awesome piece of equipment. Congratulations!

That is a good looking, big wood stove. And the dealer delivers!
My Jotul store here in Asheville NC doesn't deliver, I gotta figure a way to get that thing to my house in my pickup truck.

Nice scene pick, I know they come to life in person also, Enjoy !

Congratulations, now the fun begins. Keep us posted.

PS: Do you know what the little dogleg is for on the interior side of the door? That's the first time I've seen it.

Nice setup on that rig. I had 3 helpers, but still intercoursed my shoulder up a bit unloading it.

Sorry the picture turned out rotated. If they can be rotated feel free to do so.

That contraption on the door keeps the andirons from hitting the glass with the door shut.

So does this dogleg nudge the andirons back up if they are laid down for loading?

No its not entirely idiot proof :) but it's pretty darn close. I tried it. The Bears head hit the door first.

How em-bearassing.
