Likes: The unit puts out a lot of heat, enough to heat a large basement room.


Dislikes: It's very difficult to light. The piezoelectric pushbutton lighter doesn't work very well. Also it gives off some nasty fumes that burn the nose and eyes.


Comments: We bought this unit based on Buck Stove's great wood stove reputation, but we're not very happy with the gas fireplace. The logs don't look realistic and the flames are blue. The manual says the fumes go away after 2 hours, but we've run it at least 10 hours in the week we've owned it and it still smells like paper burning. We're about ready to yank it out of the wall and get a refund.
