Likes: Porcelin finish is excellent. Door installation is simple and fits perfectly. First two "break in" fires went flawlessly. Draft control is easy. Very nice secondary burn. Crystal clear glass.
Dislikes: None yet.
Comments: Tom and Paul at the Chimney Sweep provided admirable assistance and technical help during the planning process. Stove arrived unblemished. Packaging allows proper exterior inspection before the delivery truck leaves.
Starting the first two fires was simple and draft control is excellent. Will update this post once the burning season begins.
One negative to report. There was a 1/2" piece of welding slag at the bottom of the burn chamber. This prevented the brick from seating properly. Two minutes with my grinder and a little paint and the flaw was invisible. Pacific Energy has a reputation for excellence and the enclosed inspection report did not note this flaw which never should have left the factory. This was a disappointment and beneath PE's usual excellence. They are a better company than what was reflected in that blemish.
