Likes: In a central located chimney, with a reline install, this is a beast.
I am looking forward to my 2nd year, with really seasoned wood, to see how this performs.
Easy operation.
Make sure the boost baffle goes back in with the air holes facing the fire. Makes alot of creosote if you don't. Ask me how I know :)
Dislikes: Does not like wet wood.
Comments: I wish I had done it years ago, installing an insert. It heats the whole house until it hits 20 outside. I have a seperate 550 SF apartment in the house (1 level 2000 SF ranch) and until it gets to 20, we're good, then the burner kicks in for the apartment. In my climate (NY, Long Island)it's not usual for temps to be 20 for a long time.
Recommend highly in a similar situation.
This decision worked for me very, very, well.
