Likes: We bought this stove because the ash from our old stove (Jotul 1) had to be emptied by hand and made a fly-ash mess on everything. This has a large ashpan and the ash problem was reduced by 90%. Its a great stove. In the morning there are still some glowing coals and the ash can be swept into the ashpan for later removal (once a day). By reloading the stove and opening the ashpan door the fire restarts from the residual coals within minutes. I have not had to use kindling except for a few times this winter (08-09).
Dislikes: The firebox is smaller than I would like and our firewood has to be cut to 16".
