Likes: Classic good looks of a cast iron stove

Holds a ton of wood
Optional blower moves a lot of heat
Dislikes: Difficult to control. Would run away while completely shut down if loaded full with dry hardwood with stove temps up to 700+ and no way to slow it down. Glass hard to keep clean, unless fire took off to 700. While technically allowed to call it a non-catalytic due to air flow configuration, the "combustor" really is a catalyst in the strictest definition and will need replacing periodically (several years likely). Holds a lot of wood, but stacked on top of each other which I think leads to the intense fire. Bypass door not smooth operating. No fewer than 7 different gaskets just in the doors/glass/ash pan drawer fittings. Weak hinges on doors, door would bind after two months. Firebrick cracked after first month. Very non-precise air flow adjustment. Downdraft system has a "dim" fire to watch.
Comments: Nice unit for casual fire, but not a "set it and forget it" workhorse for heating based on my 30+ years of heating with wood with various types of stoves.
Mfg sent dealer all the internal parts to rebuild the stove, despite only needing one portion of the firebrick replaced.
Could see a lot of maintenance down the road with gaskets, "combustor", and cleaning bypass door.
Due to my dissatisfaction with the unit, dealer credited me my full purchase price toward an Olympic. See that review.
