Likes: It is comfortable and looks nice. The stove is used to create a room of warm focus in a big old house which has an oil furnace to maintain +/-55F temperatures throughout.

Dislikes: Burn plates warp badly as does the top baffle. We have burned up two of these stoves in the past six or eight years. Replacing top baffle requires complete dismantling and reassembling the whole stove.

Comments: My 94 year old father lives beside this stove in fall and winter. In the second or third year the side baffles begin to warp and crowd into the firebox. Eventually they break. The front edge of the top baffle distorts and then burns off. It is possible that Dad is sometimes leaving the door ajar because he misjudged the length of log; but we have destroyed two of these...still, I don't know a better stove for our needs. Do we get another of the same or try to find something better?
