Likes: The stove is inexpensive and well made. I can easily get four hours of 300+ F burntime using maple. Works great with my 15 foot exterior masonry chimney. The ashpan is very convenient.
Dislikes: The primary air inlet needs to be kept clean of ash to keep the stove running at optimal performance.
Comments: I looked at the Jotul 602, but noticed that many reviews were commenting on cracked plates due to overfiring. The Aspen has firebrick to prevent this. The Jotul is also about 100 pounds lighter than the Aspen, and is oddly shaped.
