Likes: Large enough to hold 22" longs, which means long burn times (overnight easily). Heats living room comfortably. Handsome design. Shallow depth fits well on our hearth. Soapstone heat radiates all the way across the room. We also added a stainless steel chimney liner and black steel panels to close off the fireplace, which will definitely help with stove's efficiency.

Dislikes: Expensive (but worth it).

Comments: We started with a Jotul 118 in 1978 and augmented it with an Avalon about 10 years ago. We hated the fan noise from the Avalon and finally replaced it with this Hearthstone. We love it!
